As the ultimate entrepreneur, building organizations since 1988, Mr. Shell continues to enjoy the challenges associated with growing and operating multiple businesses. Serving as the President and CEO of Solo Learning and ExecuTrain of Houston, Mr. Shell prides himself in providing expertise that drives performance and opportunity within organizations across many industries.

For example, Mr. Shell has an established reputation for excellence within the healthcare industry by successfully identifying the needs for effective learning and development solutions within the EMR and CPOE arena. As a leader, he has orchestrated the changes necessary resulting in successful “go-live” events for numerous hospitals nationwide.

Mr. Shell is a graduate of Asbury University and Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management program. He has been an active member of the Entrepreneurs Organization for over 14 years.

Sherry Funchess

As Learning and Development Specialist, Sherry Funchess is responsible for partnering with organizations to identify and analyze client needs to create custom learning and development solutions that empower business’ to maximize their potential.

With over a decade of experience in building and managing an online training company, Sherry brings to Solo Learning knowledge of not only advancements in technology but also the ability to evaluate and determine needs in order to enhance and develop individuals in all capacities of an organization. Sherry's dedication to corporate growth and training success transcends from Solo Learning's structure to yours.

Marc Trowbridge

Bringing over 20 years of training delivery and development experience, Marc joined the Solo Learning team in 2003. Marc’s expertise allow him to work with clients to analyze, identify and build learning and development solutions to drive organizational goals. Marc has developed courses for 3rd party and proprietary software applications, Epic Systems, and Microsoft Office desktop applications. Marc’s attention to detail and dedication to providing quality training with sustainable results has made him an asset across multiple industries.

One of Marc’s specialties is working as an EpicCare Inpatient Orders Certified Instructional Designer, (Credentialed Trainer in Clinical Documentation and Ambulatory). Marc has led multiple credentialing teams within health systems to complete training on time and within budget, while exceeding Epic’s compliance requirements. Marc is a specialist in building Epic MST and ACE environments and provides troubleshooting consulting to ensure training is a success. As a specialist in CPOE workflow and process training, Marc is a valued asset during “go-live” facilitating increased physician adoption of the Epic technology.

Marc studied communication and journalism at Fort Hays State University in Kansas.

Cory Kossan

Cory joined the team in 2003, as Quality Assurance lead. With extensive continuing education and specialized training in computer programming, web design and system integration, Cory has excelled within the organization and now serves as the Director of Development.

Cory is a Lectora Certified Instructor and has received training in HTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, Python, Captivate, Flash - Action Script (AS2 and AS3), Video and Audio Editing, SharePoint, SCORM, Network Infrastructure and Server Administration and Architecture.

An alumni of Pennsylvania State University, Cory graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Policy Administration.
